The Vatican made things a bit easier for everyone this year by extending opening hours until 6pm. If you go on your own then after lunch is the best way to avoid the crowds, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are generally less crowded than the other days. Don’t forget to check to see if the museums will be open on the day you’re in Rome (they close Sundays and religious holidays). If you’d like a special insider’s look at the Vatican art collection and how it came together then come and see what you could do with us: VaticanArtWalks Have a great time in Rome! -Len
