When in Buenos Aires, you can easily arrange for tours to anywhere in Argentina. Buses are the most popular method of getting around as are flights for longer distances. Not everyone speaks English so you'll have to find an agent who does. Latour has a Buenos Aires, Iguassu (Iguazu) Falls, Bariloche tour you can prearrange from home.
The popular Sheraton Internacional in Iguazu has great views and an excellent buffet. There are also plenty of budget lodgings available in Puerto Iguazu. The whole town is centered around the falls, so you'll be in company with other like minded travelers. There is even gambling there at the Iquazu Grand Hotel & Casino. To find a room at the falls, you can book one from Expedia or Hostelworld.
Visitor Information - The Argentine tourism bureau has more information on getting there, when to travel, getting around by bus car and plane. They have more pictures and specific details than you'll find in most printed travel guides. they cover a wider range of locations than you'll get from non local sources.
You'll also get added visitor information from this online guide which has more handy details about eating, traveling, costs, money, telephone, postal, work, study and much more. This unofficial version should give you a less biased view of what to expect.
