Voyager of the Seas is the largest floating Vessel in the world and is made by Royal Caribbean. In January of this year my husband and my self went on this grand luxury ship. We were in awe of it's size and how luxurious the boat was. The trip is always the same course on the Voyager. You journey begins in Miami and you travel to their private island on Labadee Haiti. This is a beach day complete with a barbecue and water sports for an additional fee. We chose to relax and enjoy the sunshine for the day. The straw markets are all the same on the Caribbean islands. Not much to see. Our next port of call was Ochos Rio Jamaica. There are several things you can do in Jamaica that the cruise company offers. You can climb Dunn's River Falls, you can go on a bike ride, or you can go river rafting. We chose the River Rafting tour. We heard that the Dunns River falls were the most popular and usually crowded so we chose to be different. The River Rafting was very relaxing. The rafts are made of bamboo which are made by the locals on shore. Each man owns their own raft and they take guide you down the calm river with a large bamboo stick to steer with. As you sail along you have the opportunity people run into the water and try to sell you hand made items like small renditions of the raft you are floating in. We saw a young mother giving her baby daughter a bath in the river. After the rafting we headed into town for some shopping. A lot of junk to be sold at bargain basement prices. We were not exactly purchasing too much. After Jamaica we sailed for about a day and a half. We played Miniature Golf on board, went to Broadway shows, gambled, and ate self serve ice cream until our bellies popped. At night on the Voyager there is a parade in the main shopping area. It looks like Mardi Gras but you are at sea. The highlight of our cruise was the ice skating show. That is right Voyager of the Seas has their own ice rink complete with a miniature Zamboni made especially for the size of the rink. The ice show was better than all of the Broadway shows. The skaters were polished and very talented. There were lots of gymnastics on the ice including back flips, cartwheels, and very impressive moves. Another fun adventure my husband did was the rock climbing wall. My husband ran up the expert side and rang the bell in the fastest time the Voyager has ever seen. I felt badly for the expert climbers with all their professional gear using the proper footing techniques to hoist themselves slowly to the middle of the wall. Then came along my husband who ran up in seconds then rang the bell and everyone clapped. It was very exciting. The last port of call is Cozumel Mexico. Let me give you some advice if you ever visit. Don't go to see the Mayan Ruins. Believe me it is a waste of time because they are literally ruined. It is a long ride by bus and rocky boat to get there so stay on the beach or get drunk at "Carlos and Charlies" all day. You will have more fun. "Carlos and Charlie's is the infamous bar in downtown Cozumel. The best word I can use to describe it is, crazy!. The music is too loud, women are lifting up their shirts and people are being fed shots by the waitresses who also do other unmentionables to their paying customers. I left my top down and didn't drink anything too harsh. I was too busy feeling sorry for the skinny horse parked outside on that busy hot street. Cozumel is a poor city and they don't seem to care too much about their animals. They just want the dinero. By : Nancy from Massachusetts.
