Granny's Promise

On April 30th 1995, My Granny was laying in her bed at the nursing home dying of lung cancer.

 My mother told me that I had better go see her that it would probably be my last visit with her. She was my favorite Grandparent. 

My daughter and myself went to see Granny and my aunt did not want us there, she even said "Why don't you go home and we will call you and let you know when it happens". 

I obliged her. But before I left I went over and whispered into Granny's ear, "Granny, If you pass over you will have to let me know, they aren't going to tell me". 

Then we went home. At 4:10am I was awakened by someone tapping on my shoulder, I turned over and seen my Granny as the most beautiful being in the world.

 I had never seen Granny that beautiful! Thence disappeared, I got up and went to the phone and called all of my family to let them know and then at 4:15am I called the home and asked to talk to my aunt Jackie. 

She came to the phone and said "who called you?" I told her what had happened and she gasped and then got off of the phone and told all the others and my uncle Butch said that he heard me tell Granny that they weren't going to tell me that she would have to let me know and she did.
