Or Making Things Up

My cousin and his family lived next door to another family. 

They were really good friends. The next door neighbors were older (around 50ish) and they had a daughter late in life. 

The husband, Jeff, got cancer and died very suddenly a few months later. A few months after he died, the wife, Kate, ran screaming into my cousins house in the middle of the night saying that she could hear Jeff snoring. Jeff had a very distinctive snore so my cousin went next door to check it out. He entered the house and he could hear it coming from the couch (where he use to nap) although you couldn't see him. 

Other things have happened also such as the thermostat. Kate liked it warm in the house and Jeff liked it cold. Kate would set the thermostat to 75 degrees every night before she went to bed. She would wake up in the middle of the night and it would be set to 60 degrees exactly what Jeff would have set it to. The daughter, Michelle, woke up in the middle of the night and ran into her mom's room saying that daddy was standing over her. Michelle is about 11 so I don't think she would have imaginary friends. 

One more thing, a lady who Jeff did not like was spending the night on their couch on night when she woke up screaming. She said that Jeff was pinching her toe. When they looked at her toe it was bright red, swollen and beginning to bruise. Kate says that she can feel Jeff all the time and it's comforting. 

If this were coming from anyone else I would think they're crazy or making things up but I trust my cousin and his neighbors.
