Grandpa As A Boy

My first encounter with the supernatural happened at the very young age of 4. 

I was asleep in my bed and I kept waking for what seemed no reason at all. The third time I awoke I needed to use the bathroom so I raised my covers up over me to hop out of my bed and when I did I saw a little boys face looking right into my eyes. I froze. I was so scared.

 I couldn't even scream for my mother. I just kept my eyes on this boys face which was somewhat see through and glowing. He grinned at me and I finally found the courage to cry out. When I did this he vanished like vapor under my bed. I told my mother the same story and she insisted I had a bad dream but I knew better so I slept with her for the rest of the night. 

The next week I did okay sleeping in my room with my door open and my mothers door open. Then something even stranger occurred. My father received a package in the mail from my great grandma and it was full of pictures and old memories. My dad took out a picture and showed it to me. I was stunned and scared. 

They asked what was wrong. I told them "Daddy, that's the boy that was by my bed." Both of their eyes got big but they didn't say a word. Later I found out the photo was of my grandfather that died before I was ever born.

 I don't know if he came back in a child form to see me thinking it wouldn't scare me as bad or if he just wanted to see how his granddaughter was doing but it has stayed with me all my life and 18 years later I still get chills when I think about the face I saw at my bed.
