It Was The Ghost

I've always been a firm believer in ghosts for a very long time. 

My unexplainable experience pretty much summed things up for me. My girlfriend Kris got married earlier this month. She decided to have all of her bridesmaids sleep over at her mother's house considering we would all be closer to the church. Earlier this year, I remember Kris and her mother mentioning something about a ghost being present in the home. 

Apparently, there was gentleman who used to inhabit and who later died in the home before Kris and her mother moved in. I simply shrugged their comments off, but I started to believe them when they both insisted that there was someone or something actually present in their house. They went on to explain how doors would open and close by themselves. Kris even went so far as to tell me that this ghost would actually turn the television off while she was watching it. 

Well on the night before the wedding, I went upstairs to sleep in one of the guest bedrooms. I distinctively remember closing the door to the bedroom and cutting the lights out before I got under the covers. She had no lamps next to the bed. 

The only light in the room was the ceiling light and the light switch was a little ways from the bed. Anyway, I know I cut the light off because there were glow-in-the dark stars that were sticking to the ceiling and I remember the glow of the stars before I shut my eyes to go to sleep. Well the next morning, the bride to be comes in the room to wake me up. 

She immediately asked why was I sleeping with the light on? I remember looking puzzled when she asked me that. Mind you-it was 5:30 am and I was extremely tired. I couldn't shake her question from my head. When I finally had the chance to wake up and get my thoughts together I found myself even more puzzled.

 I didn't go to sleep with the light on and trust me I would of heard someone come in the room! All of a sudden, it hit me. I remember the story of the ghost. I just couldn't believe it! I told Kris, her mother, and the other bridesmaids about my encounter and the other bridesmaids didn't believe me. Kris and her mother kindly confirmed the matter for me and the rest of the bridesmaids. 

They told everyone, "It was the ghost!"
