The Lady in Black

In January, 2000, my husband and I vacationed in Florida. One day while walking to the beach on a trail of sand a lady in flowing black clothing and long black and gray hair approached us on the trail. Since the trail was very narrow with knee high marsh grass on each side we had to move one behind the other so there was room for her to pass.

As she got beside us, we noticed that her clothing to be quite odd for such a warm day at the beach (long flowing black top, black legging and much silver jewelry with long flowing hair). She didn't even seem to know we were there. About 5 seconds after we passed her, both my husband and I turned our heads to take another look, but she was nowhere to be found. 

The only thing we saw was a very large black crow standing in the middle of the trail behind us. I jokingly said, "oh, she was a witch and she's changed to a crow". The trail back to the parking lot was long and completely visible, so my husband decided to run back up the trail to the parking lot even though we both knew there was no way she could have gotten back to the parking lot in 5 seconds.

When he returned, he said she was no where to be found. We still talk about that experience.
