White House Road in Missouri

There is a story that was handed down from generation to generation. 

There was a man taking his girl for a ride when they broke down on White House Road, by the old insane asylum. 

He told his girl stay in the car what ever you do don't open the door. So he got out and walked to the nearest gas station which was five miles away. Well the girl waited and waited, her boy friend never showed up, she fell asleep to the sound of a tapping on the roof. 

When she woke the cops were knocking on the window. She was told to get out and what ever she did not to turn around. But like most curious people she did. 

There on the tree limb above the car hung her boy friend, head cut off and he was hung by his ankles, his fingers were tapping the hood of the car. 

Now this is a Urban Legend told by those who live in Missouri. A Missourian.
