Puerto Rico Photos

Attached are my personal photos of a trip that I took to Puerto Rico in Sep of 2006. These are not professional photos by any stretch of the imagination.

It was sort of a whirlwind tour of the island that lasted only 6 nights. I did however, manage to stay in three different hotels, something that I would not suggest for a first time visitor, especially traveling outside of a group. You should take your time to explore everything the island to offer more fully.

	The Normandie on Condado in San Juan is a lovely art deco hotel directly across the street from the huge Luis Munoz Rivera Park and adjacent to the Escambron Beach and recreation area. It is a safe relaxing retreat and a great value. Even though I'm a sea animal, I never got a chance to swim in the ocean from the hotel's beach area. However, I sure took advantage of their 3 to 8 foot deep pool.
	The Rincon Beach Resort on the west side of Puerto Rico is an excellent value. The resort is beautiful and the swimming is super. The large pool fronts the water and is positioned conveniently near the sea, the snack shack and everything else you need. There is a sandy beach where the water depth increases steadily so that you can be swimming gracefully in no time. It has no weeds with a very sandy bottom. The mile long beach of Almirante on Anasco bay is also great for strolling. I loved it!
	The Copamarina Beach Resort is also on the west side but more to the south. The beach area is great for non-swimmers because it keeps a shallow depth far out into the Caribbean. Every room has either a balcony view of the water or a patio view of the pool or sea. It was great.

If you never get out of San Juan you are missing a great deal. The beaches and resort all over the island will give you everything you're looking.

The Bahia Salinas Beach Resort and Spa Paradore near Boqueron, is also a gorgeous jewel hidden on the southwestern west side of Puerto Rico . The resort is meticulously maintained and projects a calming ambience at every turn. I wish I could stay here next time.
